Amazing Grace

This was the piece I took to a competition my junior or senior year of high school ('96-ish), and for Christmas, James had it matted and framed for me, and looking at it recently, I thought to myself, "Yup, that's how it is. I love and cling to my Lord and without Him, I would perish! And I hope and pray that our daughter knows this giver of love and mercy all the days of her life as well."

Funny New Wendy-isms

This photo says it all. Also, she used to respond in the affirmative, "yeah," or "okay," or whatever sort of sounded like those two words, but now she says a very clear "Yesss." It is so funny. You'd have to hear her to know how funny it is!

EVERYTHING we've been up to!

Everything we've done since my last post--including the Portland Home and Garden Show, the tot clothing exchange at Alma Midwifery, the fun times at Firstenburg, etc, etc. Oh, and some Valentine's Day roses from my love...

Who said the dentist is no fun?!?!

Wendy's new dentist, Dr Shebani, has a waiting room that reminds me of the toy store in the old Tom Hanks movie, Big. There are crafts, a train that circles overhead, activity centers, movies, special glasses for the kids, and each examination room is a special theme! Wendy's ceiliing was of an ocean, and she had the beach theme all around her. The technician was great with her, and Wendy did so well, and the best news is: NO CAVITIES!!! She got her picture taken, by the staff, with two GIANT Mickey Mouses, one GIANT Minnie Mouse, and then took a trip to the toy room for a free treat . Fabulous.





This little Pottery Barn Kids fabric sushi roll, Wendy called a "reindeer carrot!" Ha ha.
