Alice Nicole is here!

On March 17, at 4:44 pm, our Alice Nicole was born via scheduled c-section at the new Scott and White hospital!
Weighing in at a whopping 8 lb 14 oz two weeks early, everyone was so surprised!  On this day, St. Patty's Day, a record number of babies were born, and Alice outweighed them all!  She is 20.5 inches of sweet perfection, and it is truly amazing how God had blessed our family with her birth!
A lot has happened since--two days later I had surgery to remove stones from my right ureter and kidney, and since my days in the hospital, I've had quite high blood pressure (188/112 at St Joes urgent care), so I'm taking med and will see my regular doctor tomorrow.
My dad just had his ablation done with two complications including a bleed that made them stop 80% in and a plummeting blood pressure that night that truly scared my mom.  BUT my brothers came in time to comfort her and he's doing better now.
Despite the twists and turns of life and our recent dramas, God has been so good to us.  We have received more support than ever with Alice's birth in the form of diapers given at a "Let's 'Pamper' the Dads" shower (at James' work), hospital visitors, meals, offers to help, etc.  I have four church friends whose babies were born so recently as well, and going through it all together has been sweet.
It's a pretty time of year, and for this I am so thankful also!
I know it's been well over a year since I last blogged, and I doubt I can go back and catch up (I have 3 kids now!) but this evening is a great time to begin anew!  Below, a pic from the church shower!  I'm having trouble adding pics, so these few are all I can share for now.

Waiting to Behold New Life!

Medical Courier--We banked her cord blood~for stem cells.  Prayerfully, we'll never need them!
