Some New Pics

Wendy, cheesin' before school. Every week is a week of one of the letters. They're encouraged to bring an item that starts with that letter. I've been creating books for her to take for show-and-tell, and they are letter books, so like, "Wendy's Book of X, Y and Z!" It's a blast to make these drawings of a little girl standing behind an x-ray, a boy with a yo-yo, etc. I so enjoy doing it!
I had the scare of the year Wed. Her teacher escorted her to my van with her hand over Wendy's chest and then told me that the bump on her chest is not normal and needs to be evaluated by a doctor soon. I lifted her shirt. No injuries! I didn't see anything! But, she was insistent and behaving very gravely concerned. So, James met us at the clinic. I didn't even swing by the house to drop off the ground beef or produce. A PA saw her and said it's nothing, just that her ribs bulge out a bit more on one side. She said to run it by her pediatrician but that it's probably just some asymmetry. Still, scared me to death! I know her teacher meant well.
I think Linc looks like his dad right here! He is social and smiles gloriously! I just love his plump, cuddle face and body and the way his soft hands grab my fingers! He's my little sweetie! He rolls over all the time now, and studies his hands, and grabs toys.
"Nugget," from Grandma and Grandpa T is her new favorite toy! She just ADORES this zhu-zhu pet! He sleeps on her shelf at night, he watches her eat her "break-test," he is her child.
Also, she's got a bit more of an interest in Lincoln, thank the Lord! Today she asked me who all loves her. I listed everyone I could think of. Then she asked, "And does Lincoln love me TOO?" Of course I said, "Oh YES!"
The van is in the shop, and the extended warranty, level 3 out of 4, covers NOTHING EVER! Argh. Fume. So, I've been toting around my tots in this here stroller for two. I cannot fit into the Subway shop. I cannot fit into the mailing place. I cannot fit through the Starbucks door. BUT! I do fit through the front door at Cafe Sip N' Play and QFC. So, that is where we've gone. A lot. Getting the van back this evening.

Phew! I'm caught up now! This ought to do it!

Well, here are some recent pictures I've taken. Okay, summary of events----Linc can roll over! As of about a week ago, he can roll over from his backside to his tummy! He does so quite cutely! I first noticed he'd done it when I'd set him down on his back on the soft new bath rug as I filled his baby tub with warm water. I looked down at him to discover he had rolled off onto the new flooring James installed and was on his tum! So cute! He is easy, and laughs when you tickle him under his jaw, especially on his right side under his ear, with kisses!
Wendy is growing up so quickly. She is willful. We're having to try different things in order to direct this strong personality in the right direction! She's beautiful and sensitive and we love her so much and are so proud of her! Someone at Cafe Sip N' Play complimented her today, which was just lovely! Below are some shots I got of the LINCSTER with the plain ole black fabric my mom got for pics when she was here!

Grabs his feet now! Oh, and studies his hands! LURVE IT!

Blowing raspberries!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now for some in black and white....

With just a little tinting to those baby blues....And yuppers, that there is his birthmark!

Wendy used to slumber in a pink night dress like this one. I just love these things! So cuddly!

My angel baby....

Wendy didn't quite feel too perky one day. This was up in my room, next to my window. She just parked herself there on the floor, on my blanket, and played with her My Little Pony. Kind of sad, but I liked the way these turned out anyhow!

Another one from that sort of sickly day....

" Yeah, I'm fixin' to go to work. What?! Oh, I guess I need my Dockers, too!" Miss Katie made this onesie!

Smiley Dude!

Daddy tucking the critters in.....

Linc, rolling around on my bedroom floor, discovering my bedskirt. Just as amused as a little fellah can be!

My two men watching sports. They're never too young to learn the game!

Some lovin' time with Mommy. This man has stolen my heart away from Daddy!

Going outside for some SUNSHINE! WHOOP!

Brand New Baby Brunch!

Yesterday I hosted a "Brand New Baby Brunch" at my home. Three of my friends who have had babies right around the time of Linc's birth came and enjoyed quiche, berries, scones, muffins, coffee, etc, and we had a blast catching up! Two baby girls, two baby boys, forming a little baby-head flower on the floor of my living room! Awe, sweet!

We're all the mothers of two children each, our older children, all toddlers, so behold the toddler table! Yes, my kiddie chair solution looks kind of ghetto. They didn't mind!
It was neat in that we ladies are all learning the ropes of the 2-kid dynamic. It's great to go through life's changes with good friends!

Easter Pics (and More)

Oh, how I adore smocking and bubble suits! Here's Linc all dressed for his first Easter! (By the way, below this first post, there are two more, including one all about Wendy's artwork, so scroll down!) We celebrated with our friends, and here are their two kids lovin' on Linc. So sweet!
Didn't get too good a shot of Wendy because lately she scrunches up her face when "smiling." Ah, well. She looked cute, too.
We enjoyed veggie pizza, salad, wine and great company. I love this family! They are so dear to us.
Y'all, I made a cheesecake~and James loves it! Colleen helped me decorate it with my fruit. Was delish! I tore the recipe out of a mag while at Cafe Sip N' Play yesterday. T'was easy cheesy!
And at Fred Meyer, I took advantage of this $2.50 deal where you could decorate a simple cake (of course I had to add rings for the girls!)
Our morning Easter egg hunt. It was COLD! Last year it was rainy. Drat! Still, lots of fun watching the kids hunt and gather. So cute! At one point, Wendy yelled out, "COLD! COLD!" And inside we went. With her basket rather full!
Here is the basket the bunny gave her! This evening, I stripped her down and allowed her to smear the new make-up all. over. herself. And after she'd enjoyed it thoroughly, into the tub!
Here is Linc in an outfit he will have worn only once. Boo hoo. He's growing so rapidly!
Don't think he's quite ready for his Bumbo. Watcha think?
My dear, sweet, wonderful Lisa friend with her children and future son-in-law. I hope! It'd be fantastic! I love my time with her, catching each other up on our lives. She's the best. Just wish she were still right down the street!
At my shower for Linc, my friends, the hostesses had everyone decorate a onesie. This is the one my dad did. He should market his sense of humor!
Is it any wonder how I could be so in love?

Twice?
Best friends, off to preschool for their Easter party. Sun was in their eyes, but still, they are too precious.
While we were in Texas, James did some major design work in our bathrooms! I was thrilled! This is the upstairs hall bathroom. He continued this tile work above the sink. Also, he did the floors, painted, replaced mirrors, light fixtures, faucets.
This is the master bathroom. I love the color, a sort of melon. I immediately took a bath after my weary travels, and felt like I was at a spa!
When I married James, I did not know he'd know HOW to execute such plans and I REALLY didn't know he'd have such awesome taste!
Once we got back, I selected this toy as I thought she'd love playing with it during her daily "quiet hour," but it flopped. She likes if fine but she doesn't want it in her room for some reason! Fortunately, she's back to taking a nap, happily, so that is a great relief to me. At their ages, it's just hard to get anything done with both of them awake. You know how it is.
Well, this oughtta catch everyone up on our lives. I hope you're doing well, too. 'Fixin' to check out your blogs!
