A Day in the Life
W's teacher often lets us take toys home for Linc, she's so sweet. This thing is so neat! You assemble it any which way and then drop the marble!

Tiny Dancer
Benji Bear
Benji Bear came home with Wendy one day (similar to the Flat Stanley deal), and boy, did he have a marvelous time with us (IF I do say so myself, and mostly due to a spontaneous decision James made for us to go to the football game! Go honey!) Below is the binder that accompanied our friend, and his sis, Bethany, came as well.
Since I already did the work to journal these adventures on the pages of Benji's binder, I'm delighted that now, I need only post the pics of the pages, and I'm done!

Wendy is Five!
Yeah, I know, I know, this is late, BUT! Better late than never! On the morning of Wendy's fifth birthday, I got her up out of her bed (having told her the night before that it was to be the last night I'd tuck in my 4-year-old Wendy!), to see the beautiful sun rising in the distance ---for her birthday!

Elly is Born!
James' sister, Tiffany, and her husband, Chris, welcomed their firstborn, a perfect baby girl, named Elly, into our world Sept. 4th, just 2 days before Wendy's birthday. We get to go back on the 22nd, and I'm looking forward to cuddling with her! Someone took this pic of me holding my niece the day after she was born.
The story of her birth, from our point of view~ Tiff's water broke and she called her folks to let them know she was going to the hosp, but didn't want us to come right away, so we went to a seafood restaurant in town, closer to the hosp. We ate and let Lil' James and our kids burn off some of their energy outside the restaurant.
I took this pic of my father-in-law, waiting for the call~
Uncle James gets the call that we can go on to the hospital. It's getting closer to Elly time!
I know someone ELSE who's all smiles right about now!
We weren't in the waiting room long at all before J's dad got the call from Chris that she was here! Tiff's bf, below, never even got a chance to put her blanket and pillow down!
Even though you see so little of their faces, just look. Lil' James and Lil' Linc James--smiling BIG! Let's go SEE! 'Course Linc couldn't go back (and didn't know why we were there!)

Wendy's Five Years! Pics!
Katie, my friend and one heck of an accomplished photographer (check out her link from my blog---katieleephotography), took these just a bit ago. My darling Woo Loo is no longer that super-round faced baby that she once was! She is maturing both in her mindset as well as in her looks. I absolutely love how these images turned out, Katie, and thank you again! And, I love what my dad said, "Look at all of those white chiclet teeth!"

Her Heart
Okay, so below this little entry is a big ole catch-up with pics, but first~
Wendy just came up to me and said, with sincerity, "Mom, since when you turned 5 years old, I wasn't alive, I decided to make you a 'Happy Fifth Birthday' card for you now, so will you help me write it? Because I didn't get to give you a birthday card when you were five." I love her heart!
