Wendy's 10 Month Doc Appt.!

This morning was Wendy's appointment with Dr. Miller, who described her as wildly healthy! Her weight is in the 50th percentile (fluctuates due to activity levels), her head's in the 90th percentile, and her height is in the 75th percentile. She is lean and long. He averaged James' and my heights, and she is destined to be taller! She is trending towards reaching a height of 5'7-5'9! She is all legs. She was very mobile and very vocal for him, and she showed her passionate side again. Dr. Miller has this keen ability to place infants into one of two categories --passive or passionate. She's a feeler. She's multi-dimensional and, well, passionate! It's good and bad, for obvious reasons! She was throwing everything off the table around her, including his file, his medical tools, the vaccination prep pad and items, the toys, and just CHUCKING them! So, he said, "I bet she's a softball player." SO funny as James is on a softball team right now! Sigh, guess she takes after him in yet another way! I need to retire her bottle at 1 year, so I've got a major challenge ahead----getting her to figure out how to suck on a sippy cup! I've tried for months, with several sippy cup models, demonstrating, taking the rubber dealie out of the inside cap (but then she STILL doesn't suck and it dribbles out all over everything), etc. How do I teach something like sucking a sippy cup?!?!?!?!?!?! Anyhoo, motherhood is one challenge after another, no? Bring it on!
